My Favorite Contemporary Art Galleries in Bangkok
As a visual artist living and working in Bangkok, I often spend time exploring the city’s vibrant and ever-growing art scene. From historic neighborhoods to sleek contemporary spaces, Bangkok is quickly becoming a global destination for contemporary art.
Here are some of my favorite art galleries in Bangkok. They are places I return to often for inspiration, connection, and creative energy.
1. River City Bangkok – Charoen Krung’s Art Hub
If you’re new to Bangkok’s art scene, River City Bangkok is the perfect place to begin. Located right on the river in the Charoen Krung neighborhood, River City hosts a dynamic mix of contemporary galleries and rotating exhibitions across multiple floors.
From digital art installations to fine art photography and traditional Thai works, there’s always something engaging to see. It also regularly hosts talks, art fairs, and special events, making it a great launching point for a full day of gallery hopping through the Creative District.
2. 333 Gallery – Warehouse 30
I’m honored to be represented by 333 Gallery, which is just a short walk from River City at Warehouse 30—a cultural complex that blends history with modern design. The gallery curates a thoughtful selection of work from Thai and international artists, with a strong focus on cross-disciplinary practice.
The exhibitions often explore the space between art and design, which mirrors my own approach to making. Whether you're into painting, sculpture, or mixed media, there's always something worth seeing at 333.
While you’re at Warehouse 30, grab a coffee at LI-BRA-RY coffee roasters then shop for some affordable, yet very cool, Thai clothing brands at the back of the cafe.
3. Supples Gallery – Quiet and Conceptual
Located in the leafy Sathon neighborhood, Supples Gallery is one of the most intimate gallery experiences in the city. The curators here favor subtle, process-driven work—often abstract, poetic, and material-focused.
As someone who values restraint and repetition in my own practice, I find Supples to be a space that respects quiet experimentation. If you're interested in thoughtful, contemporary Thai art, this is a must-visit.
4. Play Art House – Song Wat Road
Set in the historic Song Wat district, Play Art House is one of Bangkok’s more experimental venues. It’s also where I had my very first solo gallery show in Thailand!
What I love about Play is how it connects contemporary art with Bangkok’s creative heritage. The exhibitions often feel alive—responsive to both the local context and global conversation.
The Song Wat disctrict is definitely worth a visit. This river-side neighborhood has evolved so much in my 8 years in Bangkok. The vibe is very young, artsy, local, and authentic.
5. SAC Gallery – Leading Contemporary Space
SAC Gallery (Sombat Permpoon) is one of the most established venues for contemporary Thai art. Located near Phrom Phong, SAC is known for its large-scale, museum-quality shows and support for both emerging and well-known Thai artists.
The curatorial voice here is bold and forward-thinking. If you want to see what’s happening at the leading edge of Thailand’s art scene, SAC is essential.

Each of these spaces plays a unique role in shaping the city’s creative culture. From the riverside galleries at River City Bangkok to the conceptual quiet of Supples and the bold programming at SAC, this list reflects the diversity and depth of Bangkok’s art community.
If you’re planning a visit or just looking to dive deeper into local art, I recommend starting in Charoen Krung and making your way through this list. You’ll leave with fresh inspiration—and maybe a few new favorites of your own.
