At the Threshold explores the emergence of the human figure through layered, process-driven painting. Spanning multiple interconnected bodies of work, the exhibition traces a sustained inquiry into what the figure looks like when it is not depicted but slowly built, woven and constructed through repeated brushwork pressed into raw canvas, the paint absorbed into the surface rather than sitting above it. The figure, in these works, is the primary vessel through which memory is explored: its accumulations, its distortions, and the forces of time and distance that obscure what we most want to see clearly.
