Unveiling Leather: The Language of Modularity
This autumn, I am honored to be part of Unveiling Leather: The Language of Modularity, a group exhibition that explores the transformative power of leather as both surface and structure.
Running from 20 September – 7 December, 2025 at the Four Seasons ART Space by MOCA Bangkok, the show redefines how we encounter this timeless material.
Leather, in this context, becomes more than a surface—it transforms into adaptable modules. Stitched, folded, and layered, it generates new rhythms, proportions, and possibilities. The exhibition invites viewers to discover how leather moves between the worlds of craft, design, and art, transcending its materiality and opening space for fresh narratives.
Presented in collaboration with Archives Design, the exhibition brings together seven artists, each engaging leather in ways that unveil new vocabularies of form and meaning.
My Contribution: The Poetics of Modularity
For this exhibition, I am presenting The Poetics of Modularity, a series of wall-mounted works created from leather-wrapped MDF forms. Each shape echoes the brushstrokes of my paintings, reimagined in three dimensions.
The modules are designed to be rearranged by curators or collectors, embracing the theme of modularity not only in form but also in experience. The white space of the wall becomes part of the composition, allowing negative space to hold as much weight as the leather-clad pieces themselves.
This work continues my ongoing exploration of pattern, repetition, and mark-making—where art exists in the shifting balance between structure and openness, permanence and transformation.

This exhibition is an opportunity to see how a single material, rooted in tradition, can evolve into a language of modularity—flexible, contemporary, and resonant.
